If you plan to buy or sell items on hoardboard, you will also need to complete an onboarding process with our payment processing partner, Stripe. This will involve providing additional information, such as your payment details.
2.3 Account Termination
You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings. However, if you have any outstanding orders or unmanaged cancellations at the time you wish to terminate your account, you will need to resolve these first. hoardboard reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time and for any reason, including if we believe that you have breached any of these Terms and Conditions.
2.4 User Responsibilities and Obligations
As a user, you are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify hoardboard immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. hoardboard will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this provision.
You agree not to create an account using a false identity or information, or on behalf of someone other than yourself. You agree that you will not have more than one account at any given time. You agree not to create an account or use hoardboard if you have been previously removed by hoardboard, or if you have been previously banned from any of our Platforms.

3. User-Generated Content

You retain all rights in, and are solely responsible for, the User Content you post to hoardboard. However, by submitting User Content to hoardboard, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use, store, display, reproduce, modify, create derivative works, perform, and distribute your User Content on hoardboard solely for the purposes of operating, developing, providing, and using the hoardboard Products. This license is as broad as legally permissible under UK law.

We use cookies and similar technologies like pixels, tags, and web beacons to collect log data and device information. This includes using third-party services like Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel to help us understand how our site is being used, track site performance, and make improvements. Memberships on hoardboard can reduce the platform fee. However, the Stripe processing fee and the transaction fee are fixed and will not be affected by your membership status.
5.2 Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, users can submit a dispute request on the website or contact hoardboard directly. We will review all evidence provided and aim to resolve the issue as fairly and quickly as possible.
5.3 Return and Refund Policy
Sellers on hoardboard have the discretion to offer refunds to buyers. If a user contacts hoardboard with a dispute, we may issue the refund on behalf of the seller after a thorough investigation. Please note that refunds are issued on a case-by-case basis, and issuance of a refund does not guarantee future refunds under similar circumstances.

It is the seller's responsibility to determine what, if any, taxes apply to the payments they make or receive, and it is their responsibility to collect, report, and remit the correct tax to the appropriate tax authority.

hoardboard is not involved in the actual transactions between buyers and sellers and thus is not responsible for any issues arising from these transactions. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items advertised, the truth or accuracy of users' content or listings, the ability of sellers to sell items, the ability of buyers to pay for items, or that a buyer or seller will actually complete a transaction.
6. Payment Processing
This section outlines the terms related to payment processing on hoardboard, including the use of Stripe and the security measures in place.
6.1 Payment Processing via Stripe
All payments made on hoardboard are processed securely through Stripe, a third-party payment processing platform. Stripe is an industry leader in online payment processing and adheres to strict standards for security, including compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
When you make a transaction on hoardboard, your payment details are encrypted and securely transmitted to Stripe. hoardboard does not store your payment card details on our servers. Stripe processes the payment, deducts the transaction fee, and then transfers the remaining amount to the seller's account.

We take the security of your financial information seriously. As mentioned above, we do not store your payment card details on our servers. Additionally, all communication between hoardboard, our users, and Stripe is encrypted using SSL technology.
Moreover, Stripe is designed to detect and prevent fraudulent transactions. It uses advanced machine learning algorithms to identify patterns of fraud and blocks any suspicious activity.

11. Termination of Use
